Marvell names new board member

Semiconductor maker Marvell Technology Group Ltd. said Wednesday that it named Ta-lin Hsu to its board.

Hsu is the founder and chairman of private equity firm H&Q Asia Pacific. He is also on the board at Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. and Fabrinet. He is the vice chairman of Give2Asia.

Marvell shares rose 33 cents in after-hours trading, after finishing regular trading down 33 cents at $16.09.
