Defense Dept gives SRA International $12M contract

Information technology company SRA International Inc. said Wednesday it received a contract worth up to $12 million from the Defense Department to improve the handling of logistics data.

The Defense Logistics Agency's Defense Logistics Information Research Program gave SRA International a contract "to provide sourcing and development of logistics data interoperability and availability."

The contract has a ceiling value of $12 million over five years, if all options are exercised.

In afternoon trading, SRA International shares fell 21 cents to $20.35.
